How much do I love this typographic furniture by Tabisso? A lot. Probably not enough to actually buy it, but definitely enough to seriously covet it.

Although, now that I think of it, this F chair would look pretty sweet in my office!

Today I’m loving these two type-based rug designs from Oliver Yaphe (a Canadian company, yay!).

Both of these rugs are from the children’s collection, but I could totally see the alphabet rug in my little office. And that xo rug? Wouldn’t it be awesome in a wedding photographer’s studio?

You can see the complete Oliver Yaphe collection, including art prints and paper, here.

Is it a font? Is it a typeface? The classic designer’s semantic conundrum is cunningly resolved by Spanish design firm Atipo. LOVE this poster series called fontface.

I’ve totally got this year’s Halloween costume down! Caslon Italic (but an F instead of a T).

You can see more images from the series here. First seen on The Atlantic.

I am going to admit that I love FRED products. Not just because of their name (duh!) but also because of the cheeky sense of humour they bring to everyday products. Design that brightens up your day? Love it!

Case in point? This chopping board… precise measurements for all kinds of chopping and mincing. And a tongue-in-cheek reference to those of us with OCD-ish tendencies.

I am a HUGE fan of dingbats. I use them a ton in my design work. In many cases, a picture really does paint a thousand words. That’s why I was so thrilled to stumble on Dingbat, baby. It is a treasure trove of dingbat fonts, many of them freeware or shareware and applicable to commercial projects.

Feeling inspired after a design lecture by the legendary English designer Adrian Shaughnessy, design student Tobias Bergdahl took the advice he heard and turned it into a wonderful visual study. Here are the images that resonate the most strongly with me and my own philosophy of design and the client-designer relationship.

You can see the rest of the series on Tobias’ own blog, Design Cove. First seen on HOW.
