I have to admit this series of logo treatments by Viktor Hertz totally made me smile. I don’t think we can handle quite so much truth in advertising! Looking at the flip side, though, these treatments show the power of a consistent visual identity. It’s very easy to figure out what companies are being spoofed.
You can see the whole series here.
I am going to admit that I love FRED products. Not just because of their name (duh!) but also because of the cheeky sense of humour they bring to everyday products. Design that brightens up your day? Love it!
Case in point? This chopping board… precise measurements for all kinds of chopping and mincing. And a tongue-in-cheek reference to those of us with OCD-ish tendencies.
First seen on SwissMiss.
I am kind of a cat person, but this picture makes me think I’m more of a dog person than I suspect. Want!
Photo via the Silly Buddy shop on Etsy (note: they’re on vacay ’til March 14th if you’re wondering why the link is weird).
How adorable are these pencil socks? Love ‘em! Just a little fashion fun for another grey Thursday here in Vancouver.
Available here.
My dad sent me an email today with these images of German transport trucks covered in trompe l’oeil ads. [No, he didn't take them. If anyone knows where I should credit the images, let me know, thx!]
Some of the artwork is crazy! I wonder if these could qualify as traffic hazards? So realistic – definitely makes you take a second look.
A few weeks ago my husband completed Ironman Canada for the third time. We are so, so proud of him. We also think he’s a little nuts. To commemorate what he says is his last Ironman, I wrote and designed this little souvenir book that we printed via Apple’s iPhoto application. It was a fun personal project that I’m happy to share with the interweb.
